President Iyengar talks climate and nutrition at bpifrance’s Singapore event

GPC President Vijay Iyengar highlighted the growing urgency of the climate crisis before positing increased pulses consumption as a possible solution. President Iyengar spoke enthusiastically about the many co-benefits for climate and food security that come about when we choose to incorporate more pulses into our diets at his segment during the Inspire & Connect Asia event in Singapore, hosted by bpifrance. COP30 flies the flag for pulses

GPC CEO Ryan Perkins and Director of Policy & Sustainability Lara Gilmour attended COP30 in Belem, Brazil, bringing awareness and inspiration about the sustainability benefits of pulses to the UNFCCC’s annual global conference. Speaking on a range of panels, from climate mobility to school meals and plant-based diplomacy, Ryan and Lara connected with leading global voices and decision makers in the worlds of climate, nutrition and food security and gained valuable insights to help shape the GPC strategy in these areas into 2026 and beyond.

Pulses front and center on Dubai national television

GPC CEO Ryan Perkins was invited to speak at DXB Today’s story on “Eating Clean - From Produce to Table”, where he spoke alongside other agrifood systems players on the benefits of eating more pulses. In a nation where consumption is relatively low, Ryan discussed the versatility and deliciousness of pulses as well as pointing out their important sustainability benefits.
