Navneet Chhabra is the founder of Global Garbanzo, a trading company based in Indore, India that specializes in kabuli chickpeas. Its motto is: Single Product, All Origins.
With 75% of India’s kabuli chickpea crop harvested, Global Garbanzo’s Navneet Chhabra estimates rabi production at 270-280,000 MT, a nearly 30% drop from last year. Lower production in Mexico and other key origins should see the kabuli chickpea market returning to equilibrium.
