GPC Membership update/
Increase in fees along with new hybrid approach to member content

The Global Pulse Confederation will update its regular membership fees from $500 to $850, aligning with the association’s continued growth and ever-expanding offering for its members. Members who renew before December 31, 2021, however, will benefit from a reduced price of $750 for 2022.

While tier and national association membership will remain at the same price, the increase in regular membership fees reflects the GPC’s new approach to member content. The updated model is a hybrid approach that features both online and offline events. The GPC also announced the return to in-person events with the upcoming Pulses 2022 conference, which will take place in Dubai and follows on from a stream of successful conferences including Rio de Janeiro in 2019 and Sri Lanka in 2018.

According to the new model, these events will be complemented by a program of webinars including region-specific Ask the Experts talks, which bring together industry leaders to share insights on harvests and market outlooks.

“GPC online conventions such as the Ask the Experts webinars have been very informative and useful to us as traders,” said Sunil Patwari of Seasons Overseas and a member of the GPC Speakers Committee. “It's a one-stop platform for all international pulses traders companies and provides various support services. We are very happy and proud to be part of the GPC.”

“I find that the webinars offer a range of thought-provoking opinions and varying priorities affecting the various markets. This combines to keep things interesting.” commented Joe Cramer of the Michigan Bean Commission and member of the GPC speakers committee, who spoke at the GPC’s Ask the Experts: North America webinar.

The GPC’s agenda for 2022 comprises more than 15 online events, coinciding with the planting seasons and harvests of the world’s main pulse-producing regions. The Pulse Pod, the GPC’s online resource center, is also seeing serious expansion with a growing team and ever-expanding editorial calendar.
